This is my first entry in my new book. Ben is the newspaper self-help columnist and Suzanne Deal is the general interest columnist. She is sardonic and sarcastic and egotistical and sometimes self-deprecating -- take no prisoners. Ben is a psychologist -- he has a private practice plus he's on the faculty at Washington U. Suzanne writes mystery fiction. She started out writing obits, then moved to the local government beat, then to the crime desk. She's been a features columnist for two years now and has made a name for herself.
Someone kills someone at the newspaper. We've got the police, the district attorney's office -- is it personal -- is it political -- is it business --
Maybe the person killed is the owner / publisher of the newspaper. Suzanne had an affair with him. Falls from the 62nd floor -- did he jump or was he pushed --
